Hi! I am Carrie.

I am a Certified Mississippi Master Naturalist, Certified Master Herpetologist, Founder & Executive Director of Funschooling with Nature, Wildlife Director of the Northern Region for Central MS Turtle Rescue, and a volunteer for Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation. My philosophy is "nature belongs to everyone". We all must do our part to take care of our planet and everything on it.

I have been successful in educating hundreds of children  by getting them outside and connecting with the natural world. I am passionate about our native species. Educating my community on the importance of protecting & respecting wild animals. Which is why I am a turtle rehabilitator. I care for native turtles who are sick or injured. Once the turtle is healed, I release him/her back to the wild. I have completed workshops, classes, and extended training that has helped me further my educaton in working with children. Conservation education is my passion! 

We are a homeschooling family. I am blessed with 4 amazing children who range in age from teen to 2 years old. 💙💙💙🩷
